Working in Isolation and Remote Areas
This Standard outlines the minimum requirements is to ensure the safety, health and security of individuals or small teams who, as part of their job, will be required to work in an area where normal means of contact with other individuals is not generally available.
This may involve working in an isolated area, on or off-site, either during or outside normal working hours or where direct eye contact or verbal communication with others is not possible due to infrastructure, physical distance or the nature of the work being undertaken.
